Contemporary eco friendly home

The Hurst House has a simply and yet contemporary design, which makes it very interesting. Located in the village of Bourne End in Buckinghamshire, England, it`s designed by John Pardey Architects in collaboration with Strom Architects. The amazing part of this propriety is that is directly fronting an area of open fields that form part of the Chilterns Area of Outstanding National Beauty. But, this house looks like this for a reason. It was especially made for a couple with kids that wanted to find a solution to save some money after the children go away.

So, the propriety is designed in two levels. And if now all the rooms are full, when the time will come for the little ones to leave, the parents will only use some rooms and the other will remain closed, without spending anything. As you can see in the pictures, the house uses the natural light, that`s why it has so big windows.

The house utilizes very high levels of insulation, a small gas boiler, it has heat recovery ventilation and it also recycles rainwater. It utilizes solar water heating, a 10kW wood burner and a 9.9kWp photovoltaic installation. They say that the propriety has an overall near zero CO2 impact rating. It is not only a house that looks amazing, but you also live healthy here and is the perfect place for a family. And, the costs are very little. The high quality natural materials and those eco friendly appliances make it an amazing home for you. It`s not only cheap to maintain but it also looks welcoming.
