This apartment is located in Warsaw, Poland and it was a decorated by interior designer Pawel Sókol. The interior of the apartment is very interesting. It has an overall contemporary feel but it’s difficult to distinguish the exact influence. The reality is that there are several styles and influences that were combined and resulted in this stylish and elegant composition.
The apartment features a combination of Oriental and Spanish elements. Notice the Oriental patterns from the hall wallpaper, the bedding or even the rug. These elements were combined with Spanish accents found either in the shades of colors used or something a little more specific such as the pendant lamp above the dining room table. Even though these are different styles that aren’t normally found in the same place, they combine beautifully. Also, the rest of the apartment has a simple and modern feel. These are just small accents to break the monotony.
The main colors used by the designer are earth tones with touches of red and yellow. These colors create a warm and cozy atmosphere and they’re both casual and elegant. The apartment seems very calm and inviting but also cheerful. Another major elements found in the apartment is the wood. Not only that the apartment has wooden floors throughout, but some of the walls are also covered with wooden panels, not to mention the matching furniture. The influences for the décor are limited but visually strong and meant to create a calm and tranquil environment.
