Compact 200 sqm residence in Spain

This is the Fragmented House, a contemporary residence located in Laguna de Duero in Valladolid, Spain. It was a project developed by AQSO Arquitectos – PE. Pinés & Jové and it was completed in 2012. The residence covers a total ground floor area of 200 square meters. The location is very beautiful and the house itself has a very beautiful and modern architecture.

The house is facing west and it has been designed with a functional internal structure. It has two levels. On the ground floor you can find the living room and the day use spaces and the master bedroom is located upstairs. The house was planned as a series of juxtaposed elements that define the different spaces. That’s also what gave the name of the house. The entrance to the house is defined by two parallel blocks. The front of the house is facing the garden.

The bedroom from the upper level is also facing the garden. The garage in situated on the rear of the house and is defined by several stair-shaped elements. The house features an open floor plan with the living and dining area. This space is partially divided by a wall and a freestanding staircase that allows access to the upper floor. The master bedroom has a large walk-in closet and an en-suite Jacuzzi and it also has direct access to an area that can be used as a terrace with a small solarium. The house has an overall uniform look. The façade if made from big scale matte ceramic pieces combined with stone masonry. The interior is bright and has white walls throughout.
