Colorful Tintin-inspired nursery room

If you’re familiar with something called :Tintn L’Ile Noire” by Herge and illustrated by Casterman then you might find a lot of familiar elements in this nursery. This is the nursery that a couple from Arlington, VA has decorated for their new son. The husband seems to be a big fan of Tintin. He has every copy and he decided to continue the tradition by handing them down to their first son and now soon to be second.

The nursery they’ve decorated for the baby on the way is inspired from the cover of “Tintin “l”ile Noire”. It’s a very colorful and fun room.The colors used are not extremely bright or vibrant but rather more baby-appropriate. The couple used a lot of color. This helped transform the room and made it look very friendly. They used dove white and Benjamin Moore tones for the trims, desert tan and Benjamin Moore for the walls and sheer romance and the same Benjamin Moore for the stencils.

They also decided to add some accent colors such as red, true blue, dark teal and shades of green. I really like the way they managed to combine all these colors and to make them seem like a whole. This seems like a really nice nursery and I’m sure the new baby will love it.{found on ohdeedoh}
