Mastering the art of mixing colors is not as easy as it may seem or should be. There’s a whole series of rules that sometimes prevent you from using your favorite colors the way you want. But there are also ways to work around them and to adapt them. For example, pink a difficult color to work with yet here it looks quite nice.
This lovely home is located in London. It has a somewhat traditional interior. The living room is large and colorful and the parquet flooring tones down a little bit the accent colors. The room also feels spacious because of the way the white furniture disappears into the walls and seems to go up to the ceiling forming a continuous structure. Although the colors used here are very bold and are used in combination with different prints and patterns, they don’t clash that much.
The kitchen and the dining room form the same space. Here you can see traditional elements combined with rustic and a few modern touches. The turquoise shade is really nice and soothing and it looks beautiful combined with gray. Pick and turquoise/blue are the two main accent colors and they can be seen, in one form or another, in all the rooms of the house.
