A Classy Whiskey Bar With Skyline Views Of Jakarta
The 3rd Avenue Bar is a great place definitely worth visiting. You can find it in Jakarta, Indonesia, at Jl. Senopati No. 64. It’s a bar and lounge designed by Einstein & Associates, with architect Leo Einstein Franciscus in charge of the project. You’ll find the bar on the third floor of the building, positioned over a restaurant.
This is a whiskey bar & lounge and it covers an area of 200 square meters. It was a 2016 project. The main goal for the project was to make this a classy and modern space which makes the most of its views and location.
The entrance is through a long corridor and via a dark staircase featuring copper railings and copper ceiling tiles. There are also copper accents visible throughout the bar. They were integrated into the interior design for two reasons. One was to establish a smooth transition between the spaces and to connect this third floor to the rest of the building. The other was to offer the space a masculine and, at the same time, elegant vibe.
The space in divided into two main areas. One is the bar and the other is a lounge. Each one has its own distinctive characteristics in terms of layout and interior design. The bar space is defined by an impressive wooden ceiling and two large crystal chandeliers.
The bar volume is characterized by the strong presence of black steel and copper accents which, mixed, create an elegant look. Wall-mounted wine racks cover a portion of the bar, being complemented by herringbone patterned floor which guides the guests into the lounge space.
The lounge space has its own impressive points. The glass ceiling lets in natural light which makes this particular area contrast with the darker ones. In addition, this particular space also has large windows which offer a skyline view of the city.
The striking ceiling design is one of the key design characteristics of this classy whiskey bar & lounge. The diversity of eye-catching elements makes the bar as a whole stand out. At the same time, the entire space is linked through a series of cohesive details such as the gold and copper accents, the black steel details and the wood surfaces.
The ambiance throughout denotes elegance, class and beauty without an interior design that’s too opulent, feminine or colorful. This is a space that looks and feels elegant and masculine but which doesn’t overlook the little details and which definitely knows how to make the most of its location and the skyline views.
