Silje Aune Eriksen is a Norwegian-based ceramic designer. As expected, the house is as beautiful as the art its owner creates. Now that you know what the owner does for a living, it’s easy to see all the items that are reminiscent of that. In fact, the house is filled with them. The color palette is immediately noticeable. The residence features different shades of white and other light neutrals.
The white, light brown, beige and other similar color shades are extensively used in this residence. But in order to complement these colors, contrasting colors were used. These take the form of accessories such as animal figures. It’s hard to say with accuracy which style this house features. It resembles a rustic barn but, at the same time, it also features modern influences. It’s an eclectic home, at the limit between rustic and modern.
The living and dining area is the star of the house. It’s filled with all sorts of decorations and accessories and it’s hard to be focused when entering this space. The residence also includes a study. It’s not exactly a separate room. It’s a space that was arranged under the staircase. It’s a clever use of that space and it’s also an area that offers privacy while also allowing the user to feel part of the whole. It’s interesting the way the residence was decorated. There are many accent pieces placed all over the place, some of them even on the sofas.
