Before and after bright guest bathroom makeover

Guest bathrooms, the same as guest bedrooms, need to be inviting but also neutral. This way anyone who uses it will feel welcomed but not strange or like an infiltrator in someone else’s space. This example illustrates a simple method of turning a guest bathroom into a bright and inviting space.

The bathroom used to look dark and old. It had striped wallpaper and dark-colored furniture. It was in bad need of a makeover. It still had some nice traditional features like that beautiful claw foot tub. Still, it needed an update. But instead of just taking everything out and replacing it, the owner decided to try to save the elements that were still usable and bring them back to life while also creating a fresh new interior.

The bathroom was painted white and this really brightened up the room. The wallpaper was taken off and the walls have been painted gray-blue. It’s not a very happy color but it’s neutral and goes well with the rest. The goal was to create a clean, light and bright guest bathroom and the renovation was a great success. A nice white shelf has been attached to the wall, just above the bathtub. It provides practical storage space and the baskets are also great for this purpose. Even though it’s small, the bathroom is now clearly a more inviting space.{found on thistlewoodfarm}.
