Haines House is a contemporary masterpiece designed by Sydney-based architect Christopher Polly. Located in New South Wales, Australia, this lovely single story house was renovated and extended in 2010.
The owners wanted to create a new home, one that will suit their personality. They also had some demands which were to add an open plan volume, to improve the physical and visual relationships to the new rear garden, while harnessing improved access to sunlight, natural ventilation and views. In order to achieve all of this the architect created a single roof plan between the two parts. Banks of highlight fixed windows march along between the entire low roofed working wall bridging with a series of concealed sliding doors extending the living space onto a roofed terrace.
This amazing house presents soft, neutral tones that create the feeling of a bright, airy space. The clean lines of the design show off all the elements. Moreover it has state of the art stainless steel appliances and modern furnishings that give it the perfect balance. Although not very big on space, this home has everything you could possibly need.
Haines House is a wonderful place to call home, a warm and welcoming place to land. Not only is this residence functional, but it is also beautiful.
