Beautiful designs featuring painted brick as an accent element
Lots of architects and home owners like working with brick and like integrating it in their interior decors. Brick is a material that’s very interesting. On one hand, it’s not the most delicate and elegant of them as it has a rough look. On the other hand, it’s this roughness that makes it feel authentic and that adds texture to any décor. Even though it’s not particularly elegant or stylish, an exposed brick wall or brick in general used in interior design can be the element the décor needs to be balanced and to feel warm and inviting.
Exposed brick walls are very beautiful accent elements and can become wonderful focal points. A brick wall or surface with a natural finish has a rustic look and always adds warmth and texture to any décor. But in some cases the brick is painted and this completely changes its look. Painted brick is able to blend in more easily and this allows it to become a natural part of the décor. But, depending on the color chosen for the brick as well as the color of the rest of the décor, a brick wall or structure can also stand out even more than it would have normally.
By painting the brick you allow it to seamlessly integrate into the décor and you redirect the attention from the texture to the color or vice versa. Painted brick can be used for both interior and exterior decors and designs. It’s a versatile type of material, most commonly used as an accent element for fireplaces and accent walls. Here are a few examples showcasing painted brick surfaces.
