Artist’s Workshop Successfully Transformed Into A Loft

The workshop measured 50 square meters so it was practically just enough space to allow it to be comfortable as a home. The layout was practical and functional already. The loft is 13 meters long, 3.5 meters wide and 5 meters high. It’s divided in three half levels and each space has a distinct function. The transformation was completed in 2012 and it was a project by NZI Architectes.

As mentioned, the loft has a series of distinct levels, each with their own function. The bedroom is a bright and open space with lots of glass and it pretty much dominates the rest of the loft. It can be accessed via a staircase from the kitchen.

Situated in the 20th arrondissement in Paris, this inviting loft was not so long ago a modest artist’s workshop.

Because of the layout, each space is in perfect continuity with another one and the transitions are smooth and seamless. The kitchen is situated on one side of the loft. Overall, it’s visible that everything was designed with a very simple and practical perspective in mind.

The goal of the transformation was to maximize the space and to take advantage of everything the workshop had to offer. Of course, everything got remodeled and now it has a whole new look. It;s the perfect place to start a new life.{found on archdaily}.
