Artistic treehouse studio in Scotland

We often read about cases when artists feel the need to get away for a while to find their inspiration, their muse. And what better place to go to than in the middle of the forest, where it’s quiet, peaceful and beautiful. That’s exactly the idea at the base of this amazing structure.

Developed by Malcolm Fraser Architects studio and located in Glen Nevis, Scotland, this unusual structure is an artists’ studio created for an art association called London Fieldworks. The goal was to create a space that could serve as a meeting space located deep into the forest, for creative collaboration and research. It resembles very much with a treehouse. It’s only accessible through a bridge and a wooden path that was also built by the project team.

It’s a truly unique, not to mention location for an art studio. The structure is very simple so that there will be no distractions during the meetings and the creative process. I think this type of structure could actually accomplish the purpose it was built for, which is to provide the artists with a space where they could unleash their ideas and creativity.{found on dezeen}
