An Eclectic Apartment Under The Mansard Roof Of An Alpine Building
Situated under the mansard roof of a building in Vipiteno, South Tyrol, this loft apartment takes advantage of its unusual layout and orientation in a rather simple but not entirely unexpected way. The apartment was renovated by Jeb Studio using wood as the primary material.
Different varieties of wood, different finishes and subtle pattern differences prevent the new interior design from becoming monotonous or from lacking character. In combination with the white walls, this creates a light, warm and welcoming decor.
The apartment has a set of double-height living spaces and a mezzanine level situated above the kitchen which accommodates the bedroom. It can be accessed via a staircase with a geometric and graphical design, with a dark metal frame and wooden treads. Up here the interior design and the ambiance are just as simple and as charming as below. There’s a big wardrobe unit with mesh panels which keeps the industrial vibe alive. Three skylights let in natural light and take advantage of the beautiful views of the mountains as much as possible.
