A redesigned historic house in East Hampton with a modern and elegant interior

Located in East Hampton, the area that lots of people dream of and wish to someday have a beach home in, this beautiful residence now looks quite different than it used to a while ago. It’s a historic house and it has lots of beautiful architectural details. However, it reached the time when it needed a makeover. It was redesigned and turned into this modern beauty.

The redesigning project was the work of Susana Simonpietri of Chango & Co who managed to gradually modernize the interior and exterior of the residence without allowing it to loose tis original charm. It now features a fresh design and a restructured interior. The internal structure of the house needed a few changes as well. Some of the walls needed to be removed and, at the same time, the designer also took the opportunity to create open plan rooms, a more modern alternative and a more stylish and functional choice.

The color palette chosen for the new interior décor includes shades of yellow combined with the always beautiful black and white mix. As for the style, it’s a mixture between old and new and it features both rustic and industrial elements. It’s an eclectic look with an overall modern touch and with lots of elegant details. It’s very beautiful how there are yellow accents throughout the house without being redundant.
