Attic apartments are charming in general because of their location. Their angled ceilings and panoramic views, as well as the higher level of privacy allow them to be particularly cozy. A great example would be this lovely apartment from Sweden. Found on Alvhem, the apartment is situated in an Art Nouveau building that has been beautifully maintained and preserved. Given the existing architecture, the apartment also has a romantic side that comes with it.
The building in which the apartment is located can be found in downtown Gothenburg, Sweden and is dating from the early 1900s. This makes historically unique and gives it a very beautiful allure. Some of the building’s original architectural details have been preserved but the views are the ones that make it so interesting. To reach the apartment you need to use the elevator that takes you to the 6th floor. Then you’re greeted by a beautiful and inviting hallway.
The hallway features plenty of storage and it’s furnished with three large closets placed along the left wall. You can see right from the entrance that the space has been functionally organized and very well used. The hall then leads to an open plan that includes the living room and the kitchen. It’s a large and flexible space featuring a floor-to-ceiling home library that stretches along the entire room. It has an impressive collection of books and it’s the main attraction of the room. Then there are also two cozy bedrooms with windows overlooking the inner courtyard. The apartment is filled with natural light coming through the large windows.
