While there are thousands of different ways to customize a nursery for your little one, we are loving the trend towards sleek, modern nurseries. The contemporary look provides a soothing aesthetic of clean lines and bright colors that’s not too busy. It also frees the designer to incorporate more unique items and furniture than would typically be found in a more traditional nursery.
The six gorgeous, modern nurseries featured below have some common themes. They all incorporate some form of a geometric pattern whether it’s found in the artwork, bedding, in the fabrics in the room, or in the rugs. They also feature unique paint techniques and cool light fixtures. All of the cribs in these rooms have straight lines and most of them are all white or incorporate a combination of wood tones and white. Lastly, they are all cozy and comfortable, perfect for the arrival of a new little one.
Little Crown Nursery Interior.
This sleek orange and blue nursery has an incredible, modern sign above the crib that features the baby’s name. The design team also incorporated futuristic furniture and a very cool square, modern rocking chair. The colors are bright and fresh, and the two toned crib is unusual and unique.
Form Code Nursery Room.
The best part of this room is the incredible wall that features letters from the alphabet. This wonderful typography is carried through to the artwork in the room. The two toned black and white furniture is also highly modern but toned down by the more traditional rug and chair. We also love the modern light fixtures and cozy array of stuffed animals for the new little one.
Zoe’s Nursery Nursery Room.
This designer took note of the highly successful lantern trend in design right now. The clean, white crib coordinates well with the modern lamp and crisp, uncluttered fabrics used throughout the room. We also love the unique wastebasket and bright artwork that add fun touches to the room.
Grey Zoe’s Nursery.
For such a narrow room, this nursery packs so much excitement and storage. We love the mixture of blue and pink as well as the large piece of artwork over the crib. The built in storage and rows of bookshelves allow for many years of reading and enjoyment, and the chevron rug is to die for!
Sharon Taylor Nursery Room With Green Stripes.
We love design that takes a risk, and in this case, it was completely successful. The fun green stripes on the ceiling are absolutely amazing as is the bright yellow door. The colors in the room take center stage, while the white furniture is allowed to fade into the background. Some of the more traditional elements in the room add character as well.
Poppie Ainsely’s Nursery.
Inspired by the game Candy Land, this couple made sure that their daughter’s nursery was full of bright colors and fun accessories. The crib also has gorgeous, custom bedding, and the curtains are made from bight, exciting fabric that ties in the colors of the entire room. The chic, modern green chair features a cozy heart pillow, and the sheepskin rug in the middle of the room ensures that the new baby has lots of soft space to play.
