2 Creatively Designed Modern Couches

Modern designs, whether they’re for sofas, armchairs or anything else, can often be distinguished from the traditional ones by their simplicity but, more importantly, by their unconventional forms and unusual shapes. The secret to these designs is to transform the common form into something different, to reinvent the simplest details and to guide them towards a more efficient and functional version. All it takes is a curved line or an angle that’s not supposed to be in that particular space.

We have found not just one example but two. These two sofas have quite interesting designs. The sofa is a crucial piece of furniture in any living room. It’s the main part of the sitting area, the core of the shared family space but it’s also an element that gives the room sophistication and often dictates the entire design. The first design was created by Apt 5 Designs. It’s very simple and very flexible. Available in two colors, red and dark grey, the sofas already have a modern look. Their shapes and designs emphasize that beautifully. This piece was designed to provide comfortable sitting areas for two persons chatting.

The second sofa was designed by the same studio but it’s a little different. It’s a sectional in fact, meant to provide comfortable seating for multiple users. The sectional is actually two sofas combined and they can also be used separately. It’s a very nice example of versatility and flexibility. Both versions would complement beautifully any modern or contemporary living room.
