Modern desks are a perfect combination of simplicity of functionality. We’re going to start with what’s probably the most unusual desk you’ve seen so far. It’s a corner desk area made from the front portion of a bus. It sounds strange and it is an odd design but it’s also a unique desk area. Well, this is a post-it-inspired desk designed by Soup Studio. It’s basically a small table with the top composed of giant post-it notes. You can unleash your creativity and if the results aren’t what you wanted you can just tear off the page and start over.

This minimalist desk is also very interesting and eye-catching. It’s simple but it has a very ingenious design. As you can see, it’s a desk with built-in storage shelf space and it’s made of one continuous line. It’s sleek and it’s simple. The desk was designed by MisoSoup and it’s basically just a strip of curved wood that wraps up and becomes a work station with storage space.

For those that are permanently worried about storage, we have a special desk design. This is “Strates” and it’s a creation of French designer Mathiey Lehanneur. It’s basically a layered structure that forms a shelf and desk storage system. It’s made of birch plywood and has a modular design. It can either be used individually or organized in groups and shared working stations.

The Laptop Tower was designed by Sarah Maier in 2009 and it’s the perfect piece for a small home. It’s a standing desk that can be used at home, in offices or even in public spaces. It has a compact design and it’s designed to serve as a functional and space-saving piece, a desk that you can use while standing or leaning. The Laptop Tower features castors so it’s also a mobile piece.

This is the “Bend Desk” and it’s a prototype. It was designed as an interactive display that combines the basic features of a normal desk, the flat desktop and vertical computer, in a new and innovative way. It’s a design that uses multi-touch technology that allows the user to display digital content and to interact with it directly using gestures.

And here’s a desk for automobile lovers. It’s a single person desk made of a Mini Cooper car. Given the fact that the car is quite small, you can see why it was chosen for this project. The desk has a flat top and it’s very simple expect for the exterior aspect. It’s a desk designed to impress, not to be space-efficient.

Speaking about space-efficient desks, you’ve probably noticed how school desks always get smaller and smaller and become more compact. Well, take a look at this one. This is a school desk with a design that combines a chair, storage and a writing surface into a compact, simple and mobile unit. Here’s another simple, practical and modern desk design. This is the Polichinelle Desk and it was created by French designers Yoann Jestin and Benoit Pernet. It features a simple plywood work surface with two thin steel satellite pieces, a lectern and a lamp. These satellite pieces can be repositioned at will. Moreover, the desk features a paper writing surface with pages that can be torn off.
