What I love about interior design is that you never know what you will find next.  Then occasionally we are stopped in our tracks, we are stunned, we are appalled.  What we assume as being ‘taste’ seems to know no boundaries and there it is, a product that shocks and surprises us.  I have searched the globe and found 13 Home Furnishings that are Seriously Wrong.

1. The Dog Poop Lamps.

Designed by the artist WhatsHisName they were designed to make the user feel a little uncomfortable, and I think he succeeded.  I just hope they don’t come with a scent!

2. Funky Doggy Toilet Roll Holder

Continuing our doggy toilet humor, how about this toilet roll holder.Have a toilet roll that will surprise and possibly bring a few laughs, you know your kids will love it.Available for 24$.

3. The Gutsy Chair

If you are of a squeamish disposition, I advise you to look away now.  The Gutsy Chair is the creation by Chinese artist Cao Hui, who is quite famous for his weird sculptures.  Will you be ordering one?

4. Zombie Furniture.

No it’s not Halloween, BRC Designs have created seats that are dripping with blood.  So scare your guests all year round with this flesh ripping seat.

5.  Dead Skin Furniture.

This will be controversial.  Designed by Michel Haillard who creates furniture from shocking materials such as crocodile skin and tusks of wild animals. Apparently you take skin of dead animals to his studio and he creates furniture from it.

6.  Stuffed Table.

If the exotic animal is a little too much for you, how about livestock?  Orson III is designed by Armin Blasbischler and part of a limited collection of dining furniture.Orson I is another from the collection.

7.  Octopus Table.

Not as scary as the other animal furniture, and made of bronze it is somewhat elegant.Designed by sculpture Isaac Krauss the detail is frightening.

8.  Skeleton Chair.

You can’t deny the craftsmanship within this skeleton chair.  But it doesn’t scream cozy home.{found on pinterest}.

9. Doll Lights.

A crafty idea for your children’s old toys, or a childhood nightmare.  These dolls lights are a little too ‘Chucky” for me.{found on site}.

10. Skeleton Chandelier.

A chandelier is a home furnishing favorite.  I do think this one is a little more scary than luxury.{found on tumblr}.

11. Sagging Skin Chair.

Designed by Francesco Albano’s these sculptures of sagging flesh were created as a response to airbrushed photos.

12. Meat Chair.

13. Taxidermy Sheep.

This little lamb has been stuffed and turned into a piece of furniture.  With a table on it’s back and a draw in it’s side, it is designed by Oscar Tusquets Blanca.
