Wilkinson Residence in Oregon by Robert Harvey Oshat

This residential property in Portland, Oregon was designed by Robert Harvey Oshat in 1997 and was completed in 2004. This extraordinary house is brilliantly designed to perfectly blend with the natural landscape.

This house evades the mechanics of the camera, which makes it difficult to grasp the spaces as they flow inside and out. One has to actually stroll through the house to capture its complexities and its connection to the exterior, with the use of a natural wood ceiling floating on curving laminated wood beams which pass through a generous glass wall which wraps around the main living room’. Said Robert Harvey Oshatz.

The most interesting part of this project is that it looks like a treehouse. A very stylish one that takes advantage of what nature has to offer and takes it to a whole different level.  Both the inside and the outside of this structure are equally exceptional. There are all sorts of modern features incorporated in the design. It’s a really unique place to spend your time in. A very peaceful getaway where you can relax and forget about  all the stress accumulated during the day. It’s such a great feeling to feel surrounded by nature and still feel safe. Just imagine how cool it would be to live in there.
