Wall Mural Inspiration & Ideas for Little Boys’ Rooms

Little boys think bugs are cool and girls are gross. They want to be just like their dad and be the next baseball star. So, why  not bring all those fun, quirky “boy things” to their bedroom? Wall murals are a great way to bring life into a room. It sets the mood, the theme and the tempo of the space it lives. And little boys will freak out if they get to have a football field painted to their wall.

You don’t have to be a master artist to complete any of these projects, nor do you even have to paint for some! Check out some of these inspirational rooms… we bet one of these wall murals is just right for your little man!

1. Sports, sports, sports!

Whether you can free-hand paint some baseballs or find some great wall decals like this off of places like Etsy, plenty of little boys would love to have their favorite sport (or sports) plastered on their wall. And of course it’s super easy to do! All you have to do is peel and stick!

2. Introduce him to his heroes.

Little girls may love princesses and prince charmings, but little boys have their share of favorite characters too. Again, you can find wall decals, stencils or if you’re a talented artist …. draw it and paint! Either way using superheroes as the theme and focal point of a little guy’s room …. well … that’ll make him the coolest kid on the block.

3. Have a change of scenery.

Create a nature scene in his room! Whether the jungle, forest or out in the wild, wild west … lots of little ones would love a change of scenery!{found on site and here}.

4. Airplanes, Trains and Cars … o my!

If there is one thing we all know, little boys love steering wheels. And it doesn’t matter if it’s on a train, plan or car! This might even be one of the easiest types of murals to hand paint … without using stencils. But still easy to find!{found on site}.

5. Take them to outer space or to the land of dinosaurs.

Yes, little boys do dream of becoming astronauts and reaching the moon … some even dream of traveling back in time to have a pet dino. Either way … their dreams look great on the walls!{picture from 1 and 2}.

Don’t be scared to think outside-the-box for your little guy either. It doesn’t have to be stereotypically “boy” to be loved by the young man of the house.
