Extra storage space is always a good thing, especially when it comes in the form a stylish bench you made yourself. Start with two long boards that are large enough to cover two wooden crates with a little extra space for a ledge. Stain the boards and crates. Screw in four casters on the bottom of one board. Turn it over and use wood glue to attach the crates to the rolling board. Top the crates off with the other board, gluing it down. Add some storage bins inside the crates and you have an instant bench for any room. This is really great for an entryway because you can keep items handy (and tidy) in the bins, as well as have a convenient place to sit and change your shoes.
