Ways To Use Scraps Of Wrapping Paper Supplies

Now before we get into the tutorials, I thought I would give you a couple of tips about using wrapping paper in craft projects. This is because if you been saving a special piece of wrapping paper for a long time, you don’t want it to rip while you’re working on your project.

So below are three tips for working with wrapping paper.

Consider the sturdiness:

This is important to consider because some wrapping papers are sturdier than others. In this case, I used a vintage wrapping paper in one project and an up to date wrapping paper in another project. I found that the vintage wrapping paper was sturdier and the up to date wrapping paper was lighter / less sturdy. Due to this, I suggest that you stay away from wrapping paper that is too thin or wrapping paper that is similar to tissue paper.

Treat your paper gently:

This is important to do because wrapping paper whether vintage or new can rip easily. So make sure when cutting your wrapping paper and running it through your Xyron machine, that you are gentle with the paper.

Do not rush:

Rushing through your projects is not good whether you’re using wrapping paper or not. However, since we are using wrapping paper, take your time when making the projects to avoid any mistakes.

Now gather up your favorite wrapping paper, pick a project below, and start creating!

These projects are a great way to recycle those pieces of wrapping paper that you may have been saving over the years. Also, it’s a great way to remember / save those cherish memories that may tie in with the wrapping paper you are using. On a side note, if you’re wanting to use vintage wrapping paper for these projects, but don’t have any on hand, then check websites like Etsy or your local antique store to find some pieces!
