Urrezkoenea House in Getaria

This villa is in perfect alignment with the relief surrounding it. Basically, it has an unique design as it takes the form of the relief, or in a more simpler way, it has the form of a question mark. Even if it appear to be half buried in the ground, this house from Getaria is built in such a way that no part is buried as well as most of the windows are wall sized. Therefore, the lightning is ensured mostly by the natural sunlight.

There are two special thing about this house: it offers a splendid view to the ocean/sea – even if it is not quite the common type of ocean house- and also, the main terrace is above the house, as the house has no regular roof. Of course, the terrace is surrounded by stainless steel barriers that are ensuring the minimal safety measures.
