Unusual Bench With Empty Interior from Jeb Jones

All children love superheroes because they have all kinds of miraculous powers no other human has. So when I was little I dreamed about being Superman because I wanted to see through things. Well, I am not Superman now and I can’t see through things either, but my childhood memories are still present and they come to surface every now and then. Well, this beautiful and modern Unusual Bench With Empty Interior from Jeb Jones triggered these memories into my head because this bench has a very special design. It seems to be very solid, but it is actually empty on the inside, or hollow to put it better into words.

It looks as if some artists decided to make only its contour and ignore the interior, so the designer did a really good job playing with shapes and appearances. This designer’s name is John Eric Byers and he works for Jeb Jones, a world famous furniture design and production studio located in New York state. The bench is large enough to offer seating space for more than three people and is made of sustainable American hardwood. Its funky wavy and opaque finish, plus the hollow interior make it an interesting piece of furniture for both indoors and outdoors. It is available in many colour options and sells for $1,800.
