Some appliances are part of our every day life and we couldn’t see our homes without them, even though people never though of having one a hundred years ago. Well, things and times have changes, so now we are surrounded by technology. So , since every home has at least one TV set, you must also get a TV stand. And , because the TV set is made of plastic and wires and glass, why don’t you try and combine it with a beautiful wooden stand? As incredible as it might seem, the combination is pretty cool, especially if the stand has preserved the natural look of the wood and has an interesting an unique look. Meet the Wooden TV Stand by Leon Van Zanten that is called the “Bloom” TV stand.

The name is not chosen randomly, but it suggests the designer’s vision. That means that the TV stand looks like a vase, so the TV is the “flower”, the “Bloom”. Any way, what is really interesting about this TV stand is its shape. It looks just like a flower vase, indeed, being rounded on the edges and hollow inside.

That is also very useful because you can use the space inside for storing all the cord clutters that usually hang behind the TV stands and under them. The TV stand is carved under the top , leaving a special place for storing the DVD player. The stand is made of birch wood that is varnished three times , so it is very smooth and looks very natural indeed. If you want to purchase the item, contact the designer, Leon Van Zanten.
