The Norwegian Wild Reindeer Centre Pavilion is located in Hjerkinn, Dovre Municipality, Norway. The centre has been designed by Snøhetta Oslo AS and the help of a large team of architects.The project covers an area of 900 square feet and its construction ended in 2011.

The Norwegian Wild Reindeer Centre Pavilion is located in a beautiful area, overlooking the Snøhetta mountain massif. It’s a 90 square meter building that has been opened to the public and serves as an observatory pavilion for the Wild Reindeer Foundation educational programmes. The project includes a 1.5 km nature path sitting 1200 meters above sea level that allows visitors to admire the spectacular landscape.

Dovrefjell, the mountain range that separates Norway, is also home to Europe’s last wild reindeer herds. It’s also the natural habitat for many rare plants and animals so visiting this place would be a great opportunity to learn more about them about seeing them with your own eyes. Inside the pavilion, the visitors are protected by an inviting gathering place while still being able to admire the panoramic views.

The materials sued in the process are very durable and able to withstand the harsh climate in the region. The building has a rectangular frame and a rather simple design, both inside and outside. Still, the use of advanced technologies was compulsory.{found on archdaily}
