Townhouse in New York’s Gramercy Park

This wonderful construction is located in New York’s Gramercy Park and was done by Fractal Construction. It has a wonderful patrician façade a  great interior where the designers imagined the perfect living place in a town that never sleeps.  The owner’s idea was based on the reconfiguration  of this building in two dwellings, one on top of another having the same equal scale and value. In the same there was another problem regarding the deteriorated condition of the structure and this can only mean one thing: replacing the steel frames, plumbing and the electrical system.

The original design agreement was not maintain and as a result another top floor was build. It measures 620 square feet and it solves the issue of an equal division of space between the two dwellings. The new design plans proposed an open-plan solution, featuring kitchen, dining and living spaces, a TV room, office as well as three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. As for the interior furnishings and decorations this wonderful revolutionary idea came.

A lighting designer and a sculptor worked  around the clock to come up with what you can see now. It is  of course based on light, which comes in abundance and  also based on texture. The marvelous space created in the area with the most amount of light is particularly designed to capture the most beautiful things from a  New York winter and the most of the summer sun. I like it, is elegant, modern and also functional.{found on contemporist}.
