Tiny Moscow Apartment by Kira Chuveleva
This stylish apartment is located in Moscow. It’s a small space that only measures 36 square meters. However, even though it’s tiny, the apartment is actually quite spacious. It’s all thanks to the efforts of designer Kira Chuveleva. There’s also another detail that was a major advantage when decorating this space. The apartment is situated in an old building that has ceilings that are about 3.6 meters high.
This instantly made the apartment seem more airy and spacious. The high ceilings were a great advantage and they also helped the designer find new and innovative décor solutions. There are lots of interesting things to analyze in here. One of the most unusual elements is that mysterious blue door that doesn’t go all the way up to the ceiling. It stops and reveals a space behind it. Overall, the décor of this apartment is somewhere between casual and glamorous.
Given the small size of the apartment, the designer had to find clever solutions for storage and not only. The high ceilings were once again a great advantage that turned out to be even more helpful than usually. The designer was able to create a cozy sleeping area on an improvised upper level. The mysterious blue door actually offers access to the space underneath this sleeping area. Another trick that was used was the decision to use large, open spaces rather than tiny, individual areas.
