The unique elm slab coffee table

Just because a piece of wood got thrown away that doesn’t mean it can’t be used for something else. In fact, a lot of unique piece of furniture come out of discarded trees for example. The elm slab coffee table is one of them.

This beautiful coffee table was crafted from the wood of a salvaged tree that was rescued in Tukwila, Washington. The tree didn’t look so good at first but it was a perfectly usable piece of wood. And since the designer wanted to preserve the natural beauty of the material, the coffee table has a rough but beautiful look. It has a satin nickel cross base and a wooden top. Every little crack and natural line from the wood had been preserved. This gives the piece uniqueness.

The coffee table measures 35” x 47-43″ x 17”h. Because of its particularly natural and organic design, I would say it would look nice in a contemporary home or maybe in a traditional living room or deck. It’s definitely not the fancy type of furniture that suits glamorous and luxurious places but definitely as priceless as those ones. You can purchase this unique coffee table for $2700. Also, if you like the design and wish to add some more similar piece, you can check out some similar desks, benches, even console table or dining and conference tables.
