The pros and cons of apartment living
Apartment living is rapidly gaining popularity all across the globe as owners have the exceptional opportunity to enjoy separated, exquisite, full facilitated and easy living without having to worry for every single detail like that in a personal house.
It is doubtless that apartment living is an attractive and practical living option. However, all that glitters is not always gold. So let us discuss the pros and cons of apartment living –
Pros
Amenities – Apartment living offers the exceptional opportunity to use an array of amenities that you would not get from living in a personal home. The communities of apartments are known to feature common space such as a club house, play ground, community hall, swimming pool, gym and more. As a result, you can enjoy grilling, bar b q parties, uninterrupted play and exercise for long hours, and so on. Some other benefits of apartment living that are worth mentioning are 24- hours’ security services, covered parking area, etc.
Maintenance and repairs – There is a maintenance department to take care of the regular maintenance. You need not bother for the leaking pipe, fixtures or broken trash. There is no tension of removing the snow or mowing the lawn. All you need to maintain is the floor space that falls within your apartment. Moreover, some communities also feature maintenance and repair department to offer services for your personal space.
Cons
Limited living space – In apartment living, the living space owned by you is limited. Most of the apartments feature few bedrooms (the number may vary), kitchen area, and living space. There is no separate lawn or separate terrace owned by you. As the living space is limited, the storage area is also known to be limited. You have to be highly creative in designing the space so that you get maximum storage space.
Decorating Restrictions – there are a lot of decorating restrictions applicable in apartment living. Some common restrictions applicable in apartment communities are painting of the walls (exteriors and interiors), changing the fixtures, installation of an ac unit, etc. These restrictions are implied to prevent the look of the apartment from getting distorted.
Limited privacy – privacy in apartment living is limited. You would be sharing the space with a number of people, and you may feel that the place is overcrowded. You can hear the neighbors and what are they talking and vice versa.

What I really love is the amenities these apartments offer. My budget would not allow me to build a pool or a complete cardio-vascular fitness center for my work out. So living in an apartments works for me.
