The Mosman Park House With A Beautiful Attic Office

This impressive residence is the Mosman Park House. It was designed by Paul Burnham Architect and it covers an area of 5,380 square feet. It’s a lovely contemporary residence that’s located in Perth, the largest city and also the capital city of the Australian state of Western Australia.

The house is located alongside the Swan River so it has beautiful views over this area. In fact, it was designed in such a way that it would allow panoramic views over the Swan River from almost every room of the house.

The main volume of the residence has been built with a glazed steel frame and Teak cladding. It also includes lots of glass walls and windows that further maximize the views. The interior of the residence has been very well organized in private and public areas.

The residence also features adjustable louvres that allow the inhabitants to have a completely opened house during the winter for more winter sun and a completely closed space during the summer for shade and privacy. This also helps control the amount of sunlight that gets into the house. The division and arrangement of the rooms is however unconventional. The children’s rooms are located on the ground floor while the main living room and the parents’ rooms are on the first floor in order to take advantage of the panoramic views.{found homedsgn and pics by John Chisholm, Jody D’Arcy}
