The Wiesergut Hotel is located in Hinterglemm, Austria, close to an amazing ski area. It’s a wonderful getaway destination and it’s most charming during winter. The hotel was designed by Gogl & Partners Architekten. It wasn’t actually a project that started from scratch. The hotel was originally a family estate that dated back to the 14th century.
The estate was remodeled and transformed into this charming and modern hotel. It has a simple design but it stands out, given the fact that the area is mostly populated by traditional houses. Located on the ski slopes, the hotel, which is in fact a four-storey house, showcases its beautiful modern design. It has a minimalist overall look and floor-to-ceiling windows designed to capture the spectacular views of the mountains.
The hotel beautifully combines modern architecture with classical touches. It has a state-of-the-art kitchen where the chefs enjoy combining classics and local influences with experimental cuisine. It is, in a way, a reflection of the hotel’s entire design and story. The outdoor herb garden offers fresh ingredients. The rest of the hotel is also very charming.
Throughout the hotel you can see beautiful furnishings created by Austrian designers and custom-made for this project. Everywhere you look, the décor is unique. The hand-blown glass chandeliers and the steel door handles are just a few examples of all the unique features that can be seen here.
Overall, the Wiesergut Hotel is a combination of old and new, of modern and traditional. You can see this permanent balance everywhere you look: in the décor, the architecture, the accent features, etc. It’s a wonderful retreat that benefits from spectacular views and an amazing location. It’s the perfect place to be in if you want to get away from your daily routine and to relax or to have fun.
