This is the Kangaroo Hotel. It’s a modern structure located in Nihondutumi Taito, Tokyo, Japan. The hotel was a project by Satoshi Kurosaki/APOLLOArchitects & Associates who worked with structural engineers Kenta Masaki, facility engineers Kazuyoshi Takei and Maekawa Constructions. It sits on a 87.49 square meter site and the hotel’s total floor area is 260.91 sqm (83.49 sqm/1F, 36.05 sqm/2F, 86.05 sqm/3F, 5.32 sqm/PH).

The Kangaroo Hotel sits in a lovely neighborhood populated with old hostels and innovative structures. Several modern additions can also be observed in the area and one of them is this beautiful hotel. The Kangaroo project was designed for western backpackers who seek a place to stay in the area near Asakusa. The Kangaroo Hotel features a very simple but also modern design. The exterior is not impressive not extremely eye-catching but the interior is lovely and very inviting.

The first floor lobby of the hotel includes an internet and café space that was specifically arranged so that travelers can collect information and also share the public space. The upper floors of the hotel include the rooms of different dimensions: for single and for couples. The rooftop space is also usable and events can be held there.
