The historic Hotel Argos in Cappadocia

It’s quite common for old building to be converted into something else. A historic mansion for example could be transformed into a lovely hotel. The original building provides the new one with history and a great story and most of the original elements can be preserved. It’s the case of the Argos hotel. The hotel is located in Cappadocia.

The Argos hotel was actually built starting with a base composed of several historic mansions. The mansions were transformed into a modern hotel. Even though the internal structure was completely changed and it’s impossible to try to visually recreate the original mansions, there are still many elements that are reminiscent of the building’s history. The original site and the buildings existent on it were the inspiration source for the specific of this modern luxury hotel.

The Argos hotel offers you the opportunity to explore. A series of underground passages and tunnels lead to the suits and grotto-style pools. It’s an unusual way of getting to the room. However, this is what makes the hotel unique. The exterior is classic and reminiscent of the building’s history. The interior, however, is very modern. There’s a permanent contrast between these two areas. The mansions were interconnected by brick walls and marble floors. This way the hotel has a continuous and uniform look even though it’s composed of several distinct structures.
