The Hexa Desk by Can Yalman

The Nurus-D team has created a very abstract looking desk which still manages to look pretty uncluttered and functional. The Hexa Desk from Nurus, a Turkish office furniture maker has a conventional surface and the conventionality ends right here. The frame is made of carbon fiber, allowing the structure to be lightweight and resistant outside the common purpose of such finesse. No price yet, but you know that will be released in September 2009.

This desk has a very interesting and unusual shape and you could use it at your office, but at home, too. It looks more appropriate to be used by many people, maybe for a conference room or a meeting rather than a normal individual office we are so used to. Any way, both the desk shape and the shape of its support – as it does not have normal desk legs to lean its weight on remind you of the interior of a bee hive, of the perfect geometry inside them. The intricate but perfectly geometric figure made by the metallic support is amazing.
