The contemporary S cube chalet by AGi architects

Some families have members that enjoy spending time together even when they go away. They like to feel close to each other but they also know how to appreciate distance and when to give each other privacy. The clients for the S cube chalet requested a big structure that would contain three beach residences. They are inhabited by members of the same family.

The idea was clever and simple. The members of the family will have privacy and will be free to enjoy different activities but they would still be all together. It’s a very flexible situation. The S cube chalet was a project by Madrid and Kuwait-based practice AGI Architects. They designed this impressive and massive structure that contains three individual units. Hey are basically three separate beach residences but they share the same site and form a large building.

The building offers views of the sea and it’s surrounded by a yard and garden. The site was first divided in two parts. Two adjacent homes with mirrored plans have then been constructed and a third on the first level. They are connected by a central stairwell placed in between them. Each of the three homes has their own outdoor spaces or a rooftop terrace. They also all have terraces with views of the sea and the surrounding landscape. It’s a great compromise to have such a beautiful beach getaway.{found on desisgnboom}.
