The Bridge House is a contemporary residence designed by Tommy Hein. It’s a chic mountain retreat situated in Telluride, Colorado. The house features an intriguing design that was conceived especially for this project. The architect, Tommy Hein believes that every house should be unique and it should respond to the site’s unique characteristics. In order to do that, he lived off the land, learning the secrets of that location before being able to come up with a sketch. If this doesn’t say dedication I don’t know what would.
On the site there was natural draw where water runs down the mountain and the architect knew from the beginning that he had to incorporate somehow into the design. Now the water runs down the mountain through the center of the property, delimitating and linking in the same time the two parts of the house.
The public spaces of the house feature floor-to-ceiling windows that allow beautiful views over the mountains and creating a connection between the indoor and the outdoor. On the other side, the private rooms are enclosed in stone towers where the atmosphere is more intimate. This is definitely a unique house, with an unusual but striking design and functionally spaces. It’s a contemporary retreat with a cozy interior, where the owners can relax and admire the surroundings before returning to their usual lives.
