The Bathroom Bubble – an exhibition creation that can pop up anywhere

When asked about the qualities that their dream bathroom should have, most people will say that they want it to have beautiful views, to feel refreshing and to be cozy and inviting. But usually these questions and answers remain purely theoretical. Well, not this time.

A series of top designers decided to put their minds together and to come up with an unusual and unique exhibition. The traveling exhibition is called “Pop Up My Bathroom” and one of the pieces it contains is the “Bathroom Bubble”. The exhibition was intended to explore the concept of modern bathroom through the eyes of top designers. This particular creation, the Bathroom Bubble, was created as the result of a survey. The participants were asked to list the qualities of their dream bathroom.

The results showed that most participants dreamed of a bathroom that would have beautiful views and that would also have access to either a garden or a terrace. The desire was to have a relaxing and inviting bathroom that would feel open yet still private. After these results were revealed, the designers came up with the Bathroom Bubble.

The Bathroom Bubble is transparent but it’s also cozy like a cocoon. It offers its users 360 degree views and can be placed anywhere from terraces to roofs or even in the middle of a forest or near a lake. It includes all the facilities a normal bathroom has except for the toilet. The Bathroom Bubble is being displayed at the ISH Fair in Frankfurt from March 12 until March 16 2013.

The project is very interesting and it allows us to look at this space (the bathroom) in a new way and to explore new possibilities. The whole exhibition is unique and it’s definitely something worth seeing so have a look at the schedule and itinerary and maybe you’ll be lucky enough to see more than pictures on the internet.{found on Urdesign}.
