Home appliances are supposed to make our lives easier and a lot more comfortable. If we use them we shorten the time it takes us to accomplish a certain thing, to do something around the house. But sometimes the most important factor in choosing them is the design: we simply buy a product because we like it. Yes, it is useful, but it’s important to have a nice design, too. And, if we can’t find exactly what we want, some of us who are more skilled can dare do that thing themselves. This is how this unusual wooden espresso coffee maker was born.
Of course you will not find this item for sale in store because it is unique and it’s only a project, as all the normal appliances like that are made of plastic. However, it’s nice to see some wooden things around you – in a world full of plastic. This espresso coffee maker is made according to the wish of the Norwegian designer Øystein Helle Husby. This device is functional because the skeleton and the most important pieces and buttons were “borrowed” from a normal espresso machine and only the carcass was made of poplar wood. And that’s exactly this natural material that makes it look so good.
