The sloped lot didn’t make it easy for the architects. In order to offer the structure stability but to also allow it to offer panoramic views of the distant mountain, they decided to raise the house on pillars. This way the views are even more dramatic as the trees surrounding the residence are also visible. These trees cover a vast area that features Mount Asama in the distance so they were an important part of the owner’s master plan to obtain the perfect home.
