Stunning Contemporary Home In Japan Featuring Spectacular Views Of Mount Asama

Sometimes the most difficult part of designing a residence is actually finding the perfect location for it. The location is extremely important as it often dictates the design of the building. Moreover, the views are definitely something to look forward to when building a home. This amazing residence has it all. It’s a contemporary home that can be found in Asamayama Tsukudeiwanami, Shinshiro, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.

The house was designed and built by Japanese architectural practice Kidosaki Architects Studio and was completed in 2012. The site chosen for this project presented several challenges. But for the owner the most challenging part was to find this place. He spent a few years searching for this site. He wanted the location of the residence to be spectacular. It had to have amazing views and it also had to be close to nature.

The sloped lot didn’t make it easy for the architects. In order to offer the structure stability but to also allow it to offer panoramic views of the distant mountain, they decided to raise the house on pillars. This way the views are even more dramatic as the trees surrounding the residence are also visible. These trees cover a vast area that features Mount Asama in the distance so they were an important part of the owner’s master plan to obtain the perfect home.

The actual design of the house is simple and contemporary. The exterior impresses its dramatic structure but the interior is very relaxing, charming and stylish. To take full advantage of the panoramic views, the house features huge windows on all sides. The living room offers views of Mount Asama and a similar image can also be admired from the bathroom. The terrace is also an amazing design detail that also takes advantage of the views and the beautiful trees can be admired in their entire splendor as soon as you reach the entrance deck.{images from 45g}.
