Storyteller a bookcase made from used tables

Designer Isabel Quiroga designed a bookcase made of used tables. The tables are sawn and the middle stacked together. The use of old furniture is not only an environmental cause, she’s also fascinated by the history of this furniture. The design lends itself for various purposes, such as the establishment of a shop.

Well, I admit I am impressed. The idea is great, you just need to have the eye and tables for it. So if you have some old tables at home that you do not use any more and you need some bookshelves, “borrow” this idea and do it yourself at home. Recycle material and save a lot of money at the same time. Besides, you will have the satisfaction of a thing hand made by yourself and that is great. So pick the table, cut them in half and then arrange the halves in different angles on the walls in order to obtain the necessary shelves.

Of course, it would be a good idea to paint all the components in a single colour first, so the bookshelves could look like a single piece of furniture and not a random piling. It wouldn’t hurt to have some cool looking tables, with an interesting design. But the simple ones would do just fine. Now good luck with your project!
