Static House in Jakarta by TWS & Partners

This is an expansive residence that basically plays with indoor and outdoor space by combining them in surprising ways. Since the size of the site was relatively small, the house had to compensate for that in some way. That’s why the architects working at this project chose to incorporate and combine two courtyard spaces that are arranged vertically.

As you can see for yourself in the pictures, this residence is impressive. It features large rooms and an elaborate design. The residence was designed by tws & partners who took care of the architecture and the interior. There are a lot of striking elements that could be mentioned. I would start with the dynamic tile pattern from the entrance, where tiles were combined with grass resulting in an unusual look.

Another very interesting element is the indoor garden area that has been incur[orated into the design. It’s like a piece of nature has been brought indoors. This area is separated with glass walls and acts like a delimitation between two large rooms. It’s clear that this is an impressive residence, both in terms of size and interior design. The materials used for this project have been chosen in light, earthy color tones in order to achieve a natural look that would be both striking and calm. The furniture is, of course, minimalist and very chic.
