Star Eight Restaurant in A Warehouse Building

This colorful place is Star Eight, a new steak house located in WuXi, China. It sits in an old warehouse building from a 100-year old factory compound. The warehouse was adapted and remodeled in order to suit the new requirements of the stake house. The building covers an area of 700 square meters. The transformation was completed in January 2012.

The architects decided to create a unique new look for this place. They wanted to update it, make it more modern and of course more suitable for the new purpose but they also wanted to preserve the original charm. They decided to preserve most of the original features and to add a mezzanine level in order to maximize the available space. What once used to be an old warehouse is now a modern landmark. The new owners also decided to change the clients’ opinion and idea of traditional steak houses. The Starry Night Dining offers a unique dining experience. The atmosphere inside is romantic and calm.

The restaurant, as we may call this place, includes two dining areas and various seating patterns. Moreover, the new mezzanine level offers a semi-closed dining area. There’s also a VIP area with a black and white ceiling and floor lamps that help create a cozy atmosphere. The original building has a 10 meter-high roof skylight along with brick and cement walls. These features have been preserves, along with the original window frames. Some color has been added. Violet fiber optics suspended from the ceiling creates a unique atmosphere. The clients can also enjoy a comfortable dining experience thanks to the leather-upholstered booth seating areas.
