We come across dozens of beautiful apartment each day and it’s not always easy to select the most stylish or the most interesting ones. But when you come across an apartment like this one, it all becomes much more easier. What caught our eye when we first saw this place was the elegance of all the golden accents. Usually when you use gold in interior décor it becomes easily overwhelming and opulent. But this is not the case as this apartment is very chic and elegant.
The apartment is located in Barcelona, Spain. The project was called SANTEPERE47 and it was a redesign developed by Miel Arquitectos. The clients and the designers agreed on a simple yet striking décor. For the remodel, the designers used a neutral palette of colors. They chose to use white for the walls and to complement them with light wooden floors. The wood adds warmth and texture to the décor and the balance becomes very pleasant.
Even though the colors used are neutrals and the whole décor seems to be very simple, every major choice comes with quirky touches. For example, the moldings and the golden accents used on the ceiling and on the walls add a plus of elegance and also help creating a cohesive and continuous décor throughout the apartment.
The staircase has also become a focal décor point. Not only that is stands out with its design that is both simple and very functional and space-efficient, but it’s also been accessorized with a very beautiful carpet/rug. The colors match the main color palette and integrate in the décor perfectly. Also, the staircase has been transformed into a bookcase and storage space. The subtle lighting adds charm and makes it stand out even more. As for the rest of the décor, it maintains the same simple and chic lines, with a touch of functionality and elegance.
