As the name suggests the lamp was inspired by the clouds of smoke. The collection was created by a Slovenian architects Bevk Perović Arhitekti. The Smoke lamp comes in 4 different designs for the collection, available in a variety of colors. Each design features a Tyvek lantern floating above a welded metal house, car, factory or car park.

Smoke by Bevk Perovi Arhitekti

It seems like a childish idea, but this is exactly what makes this item special and original. It’s a great choice for a modern or contemporary home. I would definitely like to have one of these items in my home, maybe in the bedroom or in the living room. The light they create is very soft and pleasant, perfect for reading or for setting a romantic atmosphere. It’s a very clever design, with a very ingenious shape.

The base can be different. You can choose from either a car, a house, a factory or a car park. All of them are realistic choices for this design, because smoke is what all of them have in common. It’s a little reminder of how our choices can affect the world. Maybe if everyone had a lamp like this in their home, the pollution would diminish. But we don’t see this happening any time soon, so this lamp must not be very popular. Anyway, it’s a clever and ingenious choice, that brings some fun into the house.
