Small Flat In Geneva Designed With A White-Based Color Scheme

The owner of a 35 square meter flat in Geneva, Switzerland, went to Freaks freearchitects for help when she wanted to refurbish the place. The team was asked to create the largest living space possible within the existing setting.

In order to do that, the architects chose a design that’s very clean and simple. They organized the space into two zones, one of which is the living space while the other contains the kitchen, the bedroom, the bathroom and the closet.

Everything was painted white except for the floor which features a dark blue resin. The living space is very simple. A light gray sofa is oriented towards the windows and behind it is the dining area outfitted with a white rectangular table and elegant chairs with gray seats. A long, wall-mounted shelf hovers on the adjacent wall.

The other portion of the flat is divided into a small bathroom with a transparent glass wall, a large closet from floor to ceiling, a tiny kitchen area and a bed raised on a platform. The kitchen and the bed also feature a glass partition that allows the light to illuminate all the corners.

Although there’s not much to say about the décor in general, except for the wonderful layout and the clean look, there is one particularly eye-catching detail: the ceiling light fixture which was designed especially for this project by Mathjis Cremens.
