Single family prefab home located in Kirkland

The Ph-1 project was designed by Vancouver-based studio Place Architects. It basically involves the creation of a single family home. The house is located in Kirkland, in King County, Washington, USA. The interesting aspect about this house is that it’s a prefabricated home. Prefabricated houses are appreciated mostly because they take less time to build and they seem to be raised over night.

This particular home incorporates two volumes. There’s the main house and an expansion of the house that includes a garage for two cars and an office directly above it. The Ph-1 house was built for a family of five and their pet dogs. The requirements were simple and clear. The clients didn’t have any particularly requests. They just wanted a cozy and modern home.

The Ph-1 house was designed to accommodate four bedrooms and 2 and a half baths. It’s an open plan home with a spacious living area and with separate areas for both common and private activities. The interior of the house is colorful and fun. The Ph-1 house sues solar power. It offers domestic hot water supplements and it also heats the backyard lap pool. So not only that it’s a prefabricated house but it’s also a green residence. It’s a bright, cozy, colorful and inviting home filled with natural light and with beautiful views.
