Shoelaces Carpet

People invented carpets because the floors were too cold for their feet, but in time this problem solved and nowadays many people buy carpets mostly for decorative purposes. That is the case with this strange shoelace carpet that is made of … shoelaces. It is pretty unusual and these shoelaces are not even tied to one another or woven together, but simply piled up in a somehow ordered pile . This shoelace carpet that you can see in the picture for example is meant to be black and white and it has an interesting design, having an equal proportion of black and white shoelaces.

The shape and color of the carpet is in constant flux, because the long laces are constantly moving, of course, once the carpet is incorporated into everyday life. The version in black and white is the standard design, if desired be used but other colors and a unique piece, each “Shoelace Rug” anyway. Designed by Nate Siverstein and Andrea Paustenbaugh.
