Speaking of curtains, why spend money on curtain rods when you can build them yourself, and almost for free? Check out this tutorial (DIY Curtain Rod for Under 5 Dollars) and maybe you’ll think about it. Or maybe you’ll decide not to use curtain rods anymore, and try to replace them with antique door knobs. It’s worth trying, don’t you think? Plus, the curtains look great attached by them.

8. Drawer knobs.

Spring has come; we can only imagine how beautiful and full of life your garden is. Don’t you think you need some garden stakes? They are very useful, especially when you have a large variety of plants. Create your own garden stakes by using rebar (short for reinforcing bar) and, of course, vintage door knobs. You can choose a specific color for a certain plant, or you can attach name plates. It’s easy, you will probably be able to finish this project in about 15 minutes {idea found here}.

10. Decorate your jar lids.

Generally speaking, in terms of design, jars can be used to store things or as a décor item. If you use them only to store things, you could use a way to open them faster. Fix a door knob in the middle of the lid, so that you can easily open and close them.
